Welcome to the CADRE BSD Blog!

Welcome to our new blog - dedicated to the Autodesk AEC industry and focusing on the Architectural Desktop, Building Systems and Revit product lines from Autodesk.

I'm David Butts, the senior application consultant for CADRE Systems, Inc. We're one of the oldest Autodesk resellers in the US, and provide training, customization and consulting services in addition to architectural and engineering industry. I've been an AutoCAD user since 1987, and came to CADRE in 1995. I've used all different kinds of CAD applications, and am certified by Autodesk up to the following releases:
- AutoCAD 2006
- Architectural Desktop 2006
- Revit Building 8.1
- Building Systems 2006
- AutoCAD Electrical 2006
- Autodesk VIZ 2006

And I've worked on these old dogs too:
- Microstation
- DataCAD
- DesignCAD

I'm currently working with Autodesk providing beta review on several future products, as well as writing the reseller product support exams for Building Systems.

Thanks to Donnie Holmes and Paul Benbow for giving me the opportunity, having the faith and providing the support we needed to help build our division to be one of largest resellers of Autodesk BSD products in the Southeast U.S.

The plan is to post thoughts and ideas about working with these products, as well as get feedback from the users on anything we can do to help the users of AutoCAD. We'll also post links to other helpful sites, as well as technical briefs from other CADRE application consultants and engineers.
